Boston Industrial Solutions' silicone soft touch coating passes GLP - Skin Irritation test

Global leaser of silicones inks and printing inks, Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. silicone passed stringent GLP - Skin Irritation tests both for short and prolonged term use. This certification in addition to the recent in-vitro biological reactivity testing USP Cytotoxicity certification.

WOBURN, Mass. - June 7, 2022 - PRLog -- Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc., Natron STC 370HP low coefficient of friction silicone coating has received the GLP - Skin Irritation certification for short and prolonged term use.

The Natron STC 370HP and STC 370 are silky-smooth medical grade coatings that achieve an incredibly durable smooth surface finish to any silicone rubber device. These two coatings are far superior to the competitive options on the market today. The Natron™ STC 370 is formulated for non-medical applications while the STC 370HP is formulated for medical devices and skin contact applications.

The STC 370 HP silicone soft touch coating was evaluated for primary skin irritation test based on the requirement of ISO 10993-10, Biological evaluation of medical devices – part 10.  The samples were graded for erythema and edema at 1, 24, 48, and 72hours. The results were outstanding with a primary irritation index calculated to be 0.0.

On the other hand, the Lady Pirates seek a good start to their campaign following a first-round exit in the 2025 edition of the competition supported by Smart, PusoP.com, Summit Natural Drinking Water, with the Philippine Sports Commission, Commission on Higher Education, Mikasa, Asics, Rigour Technology, Jersey Haven, Solar Sports and 12 Beyond Production as technical partners. LEXINGTON, Kentucky — The Jockey Club has ruled that a racehorse known as Austrian Painter has been renamed Merrylegs after a review of a complaint that alleged it was a reference to Adolf Hitler. The horse’s name drew attention after winning his debut Monday at Horseshoe Indianapolis Racecourse. Hitler was born in Austria and was an artist before becoming the head of the Nazi Party in Germany. "The Registrar determined that the name is ineligible under Rule 6.F.9.d, which prohibits names that ‘are likely to be offensive or threatening based upon factors including, but not limited to, color, creed, disability, ethnicity, gender, national origin, race, religion, politics or sexual orientation,’” the Jockey Club said in a statement announcing its decision. Owner and breeder Scott Herbertson said on social media it was a reference to Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and that his filly originally called New Order was named for his favorite band. New Order is also a term for the Nazis' plan for occupying Europe. The Jockey Club said that horse, a full sister to Merrylegs, had also been unnamed. "We take these matters seriously and appreciate that they were brought to our attention,” the Jockey Club said.
