Surgeon Invisible in Patient Research? OmniDominance System Launched

Oct 18, 2026

MedFire Media launches OmniDominance™, a content marketing system helping board-certified plastic surgeons build visibility throughout the patient research process, supporting predictable patient flow and long-term practice growth without paid advertising.

Waterlooville, United Kingdom, October 18, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- MedFire Media has launched OmniDominance™, a DFY content marketing system built specifically for board-certified plastic surgeons. The system is designed to build visibility throughout the patient research process, rather than only at the moment a prospective patient finally searches for a provider, supporting predictable patient flow and long-term practice growth without paid advertising.

Visibility at the point of search matters less than many surgeons assume, because by then much of the decision has already been made. Research examining 1,876 RealSelf reviews gathered between April 2017 and June 2019 found that 38% of facelift patients spent one to two years researching before choosing a surgeon, while 70% consulted more than one surgeon beforehand. By the time someone types "best rhinoplasty surgeon near me," a shortlist has often already formed.

This extended research window creates a problem for surgeons whose marketing activity concentrates entirely on that final decision stage. Websites, paid adverts and technical SEO work typically target patients who already have a shortlist, rather than reaching them during the weeks or months of earlier research. As a result, surgeons investing heavily in these channels can remain invisible precisely when patients are forming their opinions.

OmniDominance™ addresses this gap. The company explains that each patient topic a surgeon wants to be known for can be produced across several content formats, such as news articles, blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics and social posts, then distributed across online platforms, with the exact number of formats and platforms varying by campaign and distribution route. MedFire Media reports that this work is handled on the surgeon's behalf, without requiring paid ads to sustain visibility over time.

This multi-format distribution is built around a framework the company calls the CREDibility Pathway, which covers four stages: Curiosity, Research, Evaluation and Decision. The company notes that most practices market only at the Decision stage, leaving the earlier stages uncontested, and that building content presence across all four stages can help a surgeon's name become familiar before a patient books a consultation.

This familiarity matters because patients are ultimately deciding who to trust, not simply who ranks highest in a search result. Positioning content across the research and evaluation stages means a surgeon can reach more than patients who already have a shortlist, with the aim of helping shape that shortlist from the start.

For board-certified plastic surgeons in a crowded local marketplace, OmniDominance™ provides a way to build authority and visibility that can continue over months and years, rather than disappearing once advertising spend stops. This supports the predictable patient flow and sustained growth that form the basis of MedFire Media's approach to practice marketing.

MedFire Media works exclusively with board-certified plastic surgeons seeking to protect or grow their position in a competitive local market. Further information on the company and its approach is available at https://medfiremedia.com

Rockets' Kevin Durant, Suns owner Mat Ishbia spar on social media

PHOENIX — Houston Rockets superstar Kevin Durant and Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia had a spat on social media Saturday after Durant took issue with Ishbia's description of the 16-time All-Star's tenure with the Suns during a recent television interview. In an appearance on CNBC Sport, Ishbia said that he “threw money at the problem” when dealing for Durant in 2023 and that “bringing in super talented players like Kevin Durant doesn't necessarily lead to championships.” Durant took issue with that characterization. “#blamekd even though KD stayed on top of his game at 36 and got u back this ‘culture’ you love so much. Aye, Matthew acts like I got arrested for a DUI or sumn. Back to threads," Durant posted. Ishbia responded with his own message, saying “You obviously didn’t watch the clip. Didn’t blame you @Kdtrey5, but am happy with the culture we are building here in Phoenix. We got the right guys and right focus now and are excited for this season. Good luck this season in Houston.” Durant had one more response, writing “U should be giving Thanks every chance u get. You don’t have to pay me an absurd amount of money to play for another team.” Just days after Ishbia bought the Suns for $4 billion in 2023, the organization dealt for Durant in a blockbuster trade that the owner hoped would lead to a championship. While Durant played well personally, the team results were disappointing. Phoenix made it to the second round of the playoffs in 2023, got swept in the first round in 2024 and didn't even make the playoffs in 2025. Durant was traded to the Rockets during the ensuing offseason. Ishbia retooled the organization in the aftermath, hiring Brian Gregory as the general manager and Jordan Ott as the head coach. The Suns were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA last season, but finished with a 45-37 record and made the first round of the playoffs with a core that included Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green. “It was not aligned with my vision,” Ishbia said of Durant's tenure. "We had a couple years and it did not succeed as we're well aware of at this point. After that year, I decided to trade Kevin Durant, bring in my GM, bring in a coach and get extremely involved personally with the type of guy and type of person we want in the organization. Not just on the court but off the court. “I'm not saying it's Kevin Durant or not Kevin Durant, but here's what I will say. It is Dillon Brooks. It is Jordan Goodwin. It is Collin Gillespie... of course, Devin Booker. We've defined what matters to us.”
