Soulful Pilates studio founder and Master Trainer Véronique Dumont is now offering comprehensive training for aspiring instructors in Pilates. Soulful Pilates is a fully equipped Pilates studio offering private, semi-private and small group classes. The new Pilates Teacher Training program includes 450 plus hours of course study to include Pilates Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Philosophy of Pilates, and Anatomy.

Pilates, an exercise system developed in Germany 1920’s by Joseph Pilates, has been shown to alleviate low back pain and gain long lean muscles. Joseph Pilates believed that mental and physical health were interdependent of each other. He wanted a system to strengthen the human mind and body. The Mayo Clinic has shown Pilates builds strength in one’s core muscles leading to improved balance for better posture and flexibility. The original six core principles of Pilates were outlined in 1980. They are concentration, control, center, flow, precision, and breathing. The Pilates taught today are based on up to nine principles.

Soulful Pilates will offer Pilates Sports Center Teacher Training Program, an internationally recognized program where students will learn both the classical and progressive approach to Pilates. This contemporary approach to the method takes the essence of the original classical Pilates and incorporates it with today’s knowledge and principals. Véronique Dumont taught in Paris and Brussels and became a Master Teacher Trainer from PSC’s Pilates Master Teacher Training Program in 2015.
Soulful Pilates PSC training program teaches students to be more knowledgeable in the field with training in a friendly learning environment with easy to follow modules. The training program has a flexible schedule. Students are taught the repertoire as well as movement principles. Upon completion of the Pilates Teacher Training program, students are prepared to take the PMA Pilates Certification exam. The next Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training program starts in Spring 2017. Modular courses are also available.

Soulful Pilates studio is located in the San Francisco neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury/Cole Valley. For more information on the Pilates Teacher Training courses or about Soulful Pilates, please contact Véronique at (415) 664-4890 or email at [email protected]
