Proctor360 Becomes Awarded Vendor for TIPS Purchasing Cooperative

Jun 9, 2021

This emerging EdTech company is disrupting the rapidly growing remote proctoring industry and can now offer the TIPS nationwide collective of public entities its services directly via the three-year contract award.

RICHMOND, Va. - June 9, 2021 - PRLog -- On Thursday, May 27th, Proctor360 was awarded a three-year vendor contract for providing online exam proctoring to members of the The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS)-- a national cooperative that provides access to competitive procurement for education, government, and non-profit agencies. As an "Awarded Vendor", Proctor360 can now offer its broad range of remote proctoring services to a national network of public entities without the delay of a typical bidding process.

CEO Ganga Bathula emphasized the value of this opportunity both for Proctor360 and for TIPS members saying, "As an emerging innovator in remote proctoring technology, this vendor contract helps us make our services available to many public education and training programs nationwide. These institutions have the benefit of knowing that we've already passed TIPS's review by a 7-member board of directors and meet their strict competitive procurement process guidelines."

The Interlocal Purchasing System began as a small regional cooperative of the Region 8 Education Service Center in Texas and remains a public entity to this day. Now, however, it has grown far beyond its initial vision and helps procure education related services for public entities across the United States. It carefully reviews all potential vendors to ensure quality and competitive procurement compliance that makes purchasing a much more streamlined and affordable process for its members.

Proctor360 is a new player in the rapidly growing remote proctoring industry, which is projected by MAResearch to exceed $1 billion by 2026. As more and more schools and training programs seek ways to maintain online exam integrity, Proctor360 has introduced unique services that are already in use by a growing list of customers that includes Brigham Young University, Taft Law School, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Excelon Nuclear, and the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals' certification.

"Everybody in the remote proctoring industry is still mainly offering some form of single webcam service," says CTO Kranthi Bathula. "That's fine for less critical exams, but we've taken remote proctoring further. Our Total View service uses our patent-pending testing headset to give our proctors a complete view of the test taker's environment during crucial exams. And for testing centers and training programs who have their own proctors, we've also launched our Institutional SaaS service that allows them to use our cloud-based proctoring software to monitor their students' online exams themselves."

Ganga added, "Our goal is to make online exams just as secure as if they were taken in person with live proctors. With E-Learning playing a growing role in the future of education, we want to make sure that the integrity of online exams keeps that education meaningful. That goal keeps us focused on developing the most secure, well supported, and broadest range of services possible."

TIPS members can gain access to Proctor360's services through the TIPS Member portal and can learn more about their wide range of services on their website at Proctor360.com.

Yolanda Hopkins upsets World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to reach WSL Championship Tour Philippines Pro quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines —  World No. 14 Yolanda Hopkins pulled off a major reversal, knocking out World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to advance to the quarterfinals of the inaugural World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour Philippines Pro at the iconic Cloud 9 reef break in Siargao on Saturday. Hopkins came through in Heat 2 of the women's competition, posting a combined score of 10.10 from waves worth 5.27 and 4.83 to eliminate the highly-ranked American and arrange a quarterfinal showdown with World No. 6 Caitlin Simmers in the event presented by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), with the support of Surigao del Norte Gov. Robert Lyndon Barbers, General Luna Mayor Johnson Sajulga and Vice Mayor Romina Sajulga. Bryan, finished ninth with a total of 7.00, combining scores of 4.00 and 3.00 to collect 2,000 championship points. The competition unfolded under four- to six-foot waves, giving the world's best surfers challenging conditions to display their skills, while calm winds helped maintain a steady lineup. Also making her way into the quarterfinals was Simmers, who dominated fellow American and World No. 11 Caroline Marks in their opening-round encounter. Simmers posted an impressive 15.17 on a 9.00 and a 6.17. Marks could only managed 9.00 from waves scoring 5.50 and 3.50 and likewise settled for ninth place with 2,000 championship points. Beyond her impressive performance, Simmers expressed her admiration for Cloud 9, describing the famed Siargao break as one of her favorite surfing destinations because of the technical challenges and opportunities it offers.  “Honestly, I keep telling people it's one of my favorite waves on the planet because it's just really tight, and you kind of have to do some exciting things in the spaces you get. It's pretty hard to just do your stock-standard couple of turns on it,” said Simmers. The American explained that Cloud 9 demands creativity and precise timing, as its changing sections can force surfers to adjust their approach while looking for opportunities to execute difficult maneuvers. She also singled out the wave's end section as a promising spot for aerial moves, expressing hope that the world's top female surfers would take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills. “I think I'm just hoping all the girls do airs because these are the best surfers in the world, best women in the world. And I know every single one of them can do an air on that end section. It's just a matter of timing, really,” she said. Simmers believes the challenging but rewarding nature of Cloud 9 could produce spectacular performances as the competition progresses, particularly with the world's best women surfers battling for a place in the next round. The event is also supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and NEA/SIARELCO. Delos Santos sets new junior world records in Ningbo

MANILA, Philippines — Albert Ian Delos Santos finished out of the podium in the 2026 IWF World Weightlifting Championships, but delivered a promising performance by shattering two junior world records in the men’s 70-kilogram (kg) division in Ningbo, China. The 20-year-old Asian Junior champion came off a bronze finish in the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, and was not over in setting new records as he eclipsed his previous world junior record He lifted a total of 331kg, built on 144kg in the snatch and 187kg in the clean and jerk. to surpass his previous total lift of 324kg that he made in the Asian Games. He also eclipsed his own record in the clean and jerk of 183kg. To put the 331 kg total into perspective, it is almost equivalent to the weight of a standard grand piano, an average commercial soda vending machine, or about 11 golden retrievers. First Filipina Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz formerly lauded Delos Santos and knew that he was meant to reach greater heights “Ian is one of our future Olympian gold medalist in the Philippines, as you can see he’s a junior world record holder, then he won here at 20 years old, competing in Asian Games, and it’s his first time,” Diaz told the media during Delos Santos bronze finish in Asiad.   “He is one of a kind, and I can’t describe how brave he is,” she added. North Korea took the top two spots, with Pak Pyol winning gold with a world-record total of 355 kilograms, while Ri Won Ju took silver with 343 kg, and China’s He Baozhen rounded out the podium with bronze, lifting 339 kg. Although he fell short of a medal, Delos Santos delivered one of the competition’s standout performances, improving his own junior records against some of the world’s top lifters. Delos Santos is expected to move up to the 75-kilogram category for the IWF qualifying competition in Qatar in December as he continues his international campaign.
