Jackson, MS ERTC SBA Grants | Pandemic Relief Fund Tax Credit Application Launch

Jun 9, 2022

New York,United States - June 9, 2022 /PressCable/ —

When the pandemic started closing down businesses, a wide range of pandemic relief programs was created to help the employers and their employees. While most of these relief programs are over now, it is still possible to claim rebates through the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC), using the 15 Minute Refund program launched by Helping Hands Tax Credits.

The ERTC program allows business owners to claim rebates for a percentage of the wages they paid in 2020 and 2021. Helping Hands Tax Credits has partnered with a team of ERTC specialist CPAs to help Mississippi employers to make a new claim in just a few minutes while guaranteeing them the maximum allowable rebate for their business.

Eligible employers may claim up to $5,000 per employee for wages paid in 2020, and up to $7,000 per employee, per quarter, for wages paid in 2021. Companies that kept employees on the payroll throughout the pandemic may qualify for up to $26,000 per employee.

When the ERTC program was first announced, businesses were given the option of enrolling in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which offered small and immediate loans, or the ERTC, which offered tax credits at the end of the year. At the time, most employers could get more funding through the PPP, and access it quicker, making it the obvious choice.

In 2021, the Consolidated Appropriations Act was passed, which allowed companies to benefit from both programs instead of having to choose between them. After the ERTC program was extended several times, it not only offers more funding than the PPP but also provides it as tax credits or rebates which do not need to be repaid.

Companies can determine their eligibility for tax credits by answering 10 simple questions on the Helping Hands Tax Credits website. The entire process takes about one minute, has no cost or obligation, and asks for no proprietary business information.

Eligible employers will be contacted by ERTC Express who will answer any questions, assist them in completing the 15 Minute Refund program, and maximize their rebates.

Alex Eala slips one spot to No. 19 in WTA rankings

MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino tennis sensation Alexandra "Alex" Eala slipped one spot to No. 19 in the latest Women's Tennis Association (WTA) official rankings on Monday. Dropping from a career-high rank No. 18, Eala sports 2,241 points with her latest place in the leaderboard. Belgian Elise Mertens leaping from No. 19 to 14 with 2,540 points caused Eala's slight descent. Eala first achieved the No. 18 rank which is also the highest among Southeast Asians in WTA Tour history on August 24. The 21-year-old eclipsed former Southeast Asian stars in Indonesian Yayuk Basuki and Thai Tamarine Tanasugarn who both peaked at No. 19. Basuki reached No. 19 in October 1997 while Tanasugarn matched it in May 2002. Eala reached the No. 18 rank after a fourth-round finish at the Canadian Open and a third-round campaign at the Cincinnati Open. Elena Rybakina (9,696) stayed at the top of the WTA leaderboard followed by Aryna Sabalenka (7,550) and new No. 3 Mirra Andreeva (6,371). Andreeva elevated from No. 5 to No. 3 after a runner-up finish at the China Open. Jessica Pegula (6,225) and Coco Gauff (5,974) rounded out the top five. Meanwhile, Eala was set to start her singles campaign at the 1000 Wuhan Open on Monday evening. Eala was to face Chinese qualifier and world No. 217 Han Shi around 9 p.m. Eala will also see action in doubles with close pal Zeynep Sönmez. The Filipino-Turkish tandem will clash against the Ukrainian duo of Anhelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremska in the first round likely on Tuesday. Eala and Sönmez last teamed up at the Madrid Open last May in Spain where they made a second-round finish.

Letran braces for surging Mapua in NCAA crossover round

MANILA, Philippines —  Colegio de San Juan de Letran, the Group B leader in the NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball tournament, needs to overcome Mapúa University in the crossover round to retain its hold on top of the standings on Monday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan. The Letran Knights (4-2) look to pick up back-to-back wins when they face the Mapúa Cardinals (3-3) at 3 p.m., followed by Jose Rizal University’s (JRU) (5-1) clash and Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) (2-4) duel at 5 p.m. Playing without Titing Manalili, who suffered a right-knee injury on Friday, Letran must find a way to get past the Cardinals, who are riding a three-game winning streak. Mapúa opened the season with three straight losses but has since bounced back with big wins over San Beda, Arellano, and EAC. Veteran Marc Cuenco led the way in their most recent victory against EAC with 28 points, while Ivan Lazarte added 24. On Letran’s side, Manalili has been a key playmaker. He finished with 23 points and 12 assists in the Knights’ win over Lyceum on Thursday. With him sidelined, Letran will bank on Jimboy Estrada and Denzil Walker to counter Mapúa’s sharpshooting duo of Cuenco and Lazarte. After their clash, the JRU Heavy Bombers look to pick up their fourth straight win against the EAC Generals. The Generals look to play catch up in the standings when they face the tough JRU side. JRU’s Lawrence Mangubat and Chris Hubilla eye to overpower EAC’s duo of EJ Castillo and Wilmar Oftana.
