Improved Tree Service Leads Service Launched

Nov 16, 2020

A marketing agency for the U.S. tree service industry announces 5 major improvements in both the volume and quality of the tree service leads it provides to clients.

Jupiter, United States - November 16, 2020 /PressCable/ —

After an extensive review of its live phone calls offering, MarketingDirector.com, a green industry-only marketing agency (Agency), today announces five (5) major enhancements to its tree service leads service for U.S. tree service businesses.

Their review reveals that clients still appreciate the exclusive nature of the tree job leads provided to them. The overall quality of the live calls sent their way is also valued. However, some clients express a preference to up-weight leads for specific services. Tree trimming leads, tree removal leads and stump grinding leads are mentioned as examples by several of the Agency’s clients.

Other clients want a faster initial growth in lead volumes at the beginning of the working relationship. A small minority of clients also express a desire for personal coaching on how to boost conversion rates from leads received to paid jobs.

Consequently, the tree service leads generated by MarketingDirector.com have been significantly improved. In response to both client feedback and also technical campaign data from the past year, the following 5 service enhancement have been implemented and introduced:

1. Greater Focus on Tree Removal Leads and Tree Trimming Leads. The campaigns are now structured so that clients can select which type of tree service lead they require. This flexibility is now achieved by weaving in additional, powerful mobile advertising platforms to the campaign mix such as YouTube. This tactic builds volume in niche-specific areas of tree service.

2. Boosting Volumes of Tree Job Leads. Learning’s have been carefully collated from all client campaigns and changes made accordingly. One online advertisement can generate leads at levels very different to another. By comparing and understanding the best-performing promotional campaigns, our clients can now benefit from more effective campaigns and greater numbers of calls. A side benefit for new clients is that there is now a faster initial growth in the volumes of live calls when starting out with the Agency.

3. Improving Conversion Rates From Live Calls To Paid Work. Pure tree service leads can be problematic on occasion. Say a caller remembers some tree work by Johnny’s Tree Service in the past. Johnny’s telephone number is out of order so the inquirer goes online and looks for his business. She sees our advertisement instead and contacts our client. This is despite there being absolutely no mention of Johnny and very clear branding for our client’s business name in the ad. Some clients are confused, even dismayed, by such calls. So MarketingDirector.com guides its clients on what to say to this type of caller. As a consequence, clients can now secure more opportunities to estimate for the required tree work. Their overall conversion rate – from initial call to paid work – rises as a consequence.

4. Enhancing Tree Service Lead Quality To New Levels. MarketingDirector.com agency has always been proud of its reputation for great call quality. This is because all telemarketing and sales calls and other uninvited inbound callers are blocked before ever reaching our clients. Any non-qualified calls that do slip through occasionally can be challenged by clients. Now the Agency has made it easier and faster to challenge irrelevant calls for non tree services, for example. This new, mobile text-based functionality is part of the new ‘back office’ system provided free to the Agency’s tree service clients.

5. A New, More Powerful ‘Back Office’ Call-Monitoring System. Clients can now access a more client-friendly, web-enabled system to monitor the performance of their tree service lead campaigns. Recorded calls (with due notice provided to each caller) are accessible to each client for complete transparency of the leads service. Individual call recording examples are used to guide where each client’s business can improve call-answering techniques. This benefits their conversion rates to paid work and so their business income climbs.

The Agency anticipated higher levels of tree service business this year. In June 2020, MarketingDirector.com Agency reported that tree service businesses would lead the post-COVID economic recovery following a quantitative survey of both clients and non-clients. Whilst the pandemic is still very much present, MarketingDirector.com’s survey report and predictions for the year were sound. The expected higher demand has driven the Agency to invest in providing even more tree service leads to clients.

2020 has so far been a great year for the tree service industry. The Agency’s conversations with clients confirm that 2020 has been the best year ever for many tree firms. In fact, Google Trends shows a clear uptick in the number of ‘tree service’ searches and, by inference, demand for help with tree problems. The summer peak has been higher than ever this year and has extended deep into fall. Overall, national search and phone call inquiries for tree services are up approximately 20% compared to 2019.

With construction activity broadly flat year-on-year, increased home-owner demand is thought to be behind the bumper year for the tree industry.

John Hackwood, CEO of MarketingDirector.com added: “Our service improvement review reinforces our belief that tree service leads should not be seen solely as numbers on a spreadsheet. Leads are real people who are trying to find the best company to solve their tree problem at a reasonable price.”

John Hackwood added: “I personally ensure that I listen to every call recording generated by my Agency’s bespoke lead generation campaigns. It’s clear that since March this year, many home-owners are spending more time at home looking at their trees more often. This explains why more are searching for tree services this year.”

Can Zaragosa make it three at Marapara?

Can Zaragosa make it three at Marapara?

MANILA, Philippines — Rupert Zaragosa returns to Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club on Monday (Sept. 21) with a chance to turn a remarkable run of success into Philippine Golf Tour history. The diminutive but gifted shotmaker goes after a third straight ICTSI Negros Occidental Classic title at what is known as the Marapara layout, where he has developed what is beginning to look like a special romance with one of the Tour’s toughest layouts. Zaragosa first cracked the code of the tight, demanding Marapara course in 2024, charging to the top early and eventually claiming an abbreviated 36-hole victory after bad weather forced the tournament to be reduced by half. He proved that triumph was no one-off a year later. Playing the full 72 holes, Zaragosa again emerged on top, holding off a formidable cast led by Clyde Mondilla, Keanu Jahns and young stalwart Aidric Chan to win by two strokes. Now he returns seeking a third consecutive victory on the same course – a feat that would further cement his remarkable affinity with Marapara and put him in position to become the first player on the Tour to win the same event three straight times at the same venue. Marapara has become something of a Zaragosa story, with the course seemingly bringing out the best in a player whose strengths – shotmaking, touch around the greens and an ability to plot his way around trouble – fit the demands of the layout. But there is little room for complacency. Zaragosa enters the P2.5-million championship with confidence, yet his results in the first five legs of the season have been uneven as he continues to search for consistency, particularly on more open layouts where length off the tee becomes a bigger factor. He placed eighth at Lakewood, tied for 31st at Caliraya Springs, finished fourth at Pinewoods, tied for sixth at Pradera Verde and slipped to joint 29th at Summit Point last week. Marapara, however, presents an entirely different challenge – and perhaps a setting where Zaragosa feels most at home. The narrow and exacting layout puts a premium on course management, accuracy, the short game and sound decision-making rather than sheer power. Zaragosa and the rest of the field will get one final look at the course during Sunday’s traditional pro-am before the rare Monday start. Still, standing between Zaragosa and a third straight crown is a deep field, led by a host of proven winners and determined contenders are likewise in the hunt, among them Tony Lascuña, Reymon Jaraula, Jhonnel Ababa, Fidel Concepcion, Enrico Gallardo, Jay Bayron, Mars Pucay and Dino Villanueva. The younger generation will also look to make its mark, with Kristoffer Arevalo, Russell Bautista, Jeffren Lumbo and Gab Manotoc among those expected to challenge for the title. Several leading players, however, will sit out the Negros stop as they compete on the regional circuit in Taiwan this week, including Justin Quiban, Carl Corpus and Chan. Angelo Que, fresh from his victory at Summit Point, is also competing in Taiwan. But the reigning Order of Merit champion and three-time Asian Tour winner said he will still play in Negros, although he will skip Sunday’s pro-am. He nevertheless offered a simple formula for success at Marapara. “For Marapara, one really needs to keep the ball in play off the tee,” said Que, who is expected to return to Manila on Sunday night. And that may be precisely where Zaragosa’s Marapara romance gives him an edge. For two straight years, he has found the right answers on a course that demands patience and precision at every turn. On Monday, he gets another chance to show that what began as an unexpected triumph in 2024 has blossomed into a genuine Marapara mastery. TMT

Crocodile habitat OK'd as 2032 Olympic rowing venue

SYDNEY, Australia — A river home to crocodiles was approved Thursday as the 2032 Brisbane Olympics rowing and canoeing venue by the sport's governing bodies after a "thorough and robust assessment". The Fitzroy River in Rockhampton, around 600 kilometres (372 miles) north of Queensland state capital Brisbane, which will be the Olympics hub, is a controversial choice. While a saltwater crocodile habitat, the main concerns were around technical specifications and the venue's fairness. The river is prone to flooding and has strong currents that can create uneven competition conditions, while a lack of accommodation options for rowers and spectators was also an issue. Thousands of people signed a petition to have the events moved to a purpose‑built facility nearer to Brisbane. But an independent assessment declared it fit for purpose and it was endorsed by governing bodies World Rowing and Paddle Worldwide (formerly International Canoe Federation), along with Olympic organisers. World Rowing President Jean-Christophe Rolland said ensuring fair and equal conditions for athletes was the driver in requesting a "thorough and robust" assessment, which looked at river flows, water levels, and wind conditions among other issues. "Based on the extensive analysis undertaken, we now know that the Fitzroy River is capable of providing fair competition conditions during the period of the Games, consistent with the requirements of Olympic and Paralympic Rowing," he said in a statement. Paddle Worldwide President Thomas Konietzko was equally enthusiastic. "The quality and depth of the technical work undertaken has significantly improved our understanding of the field of play and provides confidence to us and our athletes that the course can deliver fair competition for Canoe Sprint athletes," he said. The threat from crocodiles was not addressed in the assessment but officials have previously said there will be "processes in place" for reporting sightings. Brisbane 2032 President Andrew Liveris last year played down the issue. "There are sharks in the ocean and we're still surfing ... it's a can do, not a can't do, please change the mindset here," he said when asked about the issue. Sightings in the Fitzroy are only occasional, with the apex predators more prevalent further north. "I thank both Jean-Christophe, Thomas and their teams for their expertise and collaboration as preparations continue at pace ahead of our Games in just under six years' time," Liveris said on Thursday. "The endorsement provides additional certainty as we move into the next phase of venue planning and Games delivery, ensuring all future design and operational work continues to focus solely on Rockhampton."

Asian Games chief defends 'functional' rooms after backlash

NAGOYA, Japan — Accommodation for Asian Games athletes in Japan is "functional" and efforts are being made to deal with numerous complaints from disgruntled teams, a chief organiser told AFP. More than 17,000 competitors and officials are expected at the continent's biggest sporting spectacular, which opens on Saturday in Nagoya. In a bid to cut costs, organisers are housing athletes and officials in temporary accommodation ranging from a cruise liner and wooden containers to hotel rooms. The plan has run into immediate problems, with South Korean officials branding the container huts the "worst ever" and saying the beds are too short. An official from another team told AFP that he entered the facility, took one look at the arrangement and booked a hotel room instead. Several countries have also complained about a shortage of accommodation. Speaking ahead of the opening ceremony, organising committee president Hideaki Omura said efforts are being made to ensure athletes are comfortable. "If there are different opinions then we will respond to them appropriately," said Omura, who also serves as governor of Aichi prefecture. "At this point, while we are responding to individual opinions, we have been improving everything as issues arise and we will continue to respond that way." Byeon Jun-hyeong, a player with South Korea's men's basketball team, posted a video on social media showing a leaking sink and soaked floor in his hut accommodation. He posted the caption, "Please help us". Hundreds of athletes were briefly evacuated from their accommodation last week as record rainfall lashed Nagoya. About 2,000 people are supposed to stay in the huts. Cruise control  Omura said plans for the huts, which were built this year, had been given a favourable assessment by a committee of former athletes, including Olympians. "We explained everything to them and had them take a look around, and they said it looked functional and good," he said. About 4,000 athletes and officials will also stay on the Italian cruise ship Costa Serena, which arrived in Nagoya on Tuesday. Cruise ships have been used previously as accommodation at international sports events but never on this scale. The Asian Games are taking place at a time when typhoons are common in Japan, and Nagoya has experienced heavy rainfall in recent weeks. Omura said the priority was to keep athletes and officials on board safe. "We believe we can provide accommodation that guarantees athletes' safety and allows them to deliver their best performance," he said. Slow sales Athletes from 45 countries and territories will compete in more than 40 sports across over two weeks. Omura said ticket sales were going "fairly well", especially for the marquee events. But he admitted that lesser-known sports had yet to capture the Japanese public's imagination. That includes cricket, which is practically unknown in Japan. "India have a superstar cricket squad coming and Indian residents in Japan are saying, 'I can't believe we get to watch matches like this', but ticket sales haven't been very strong," said Omura. "A lot of people in Japan have never seen cricket, so I really hope they take this chance and go and watch." Events at the Games including basketball and football have been under way since last week. Omura said he was in attendance as the first action began when Qatar took on Iran in men's basketball. After watching a physical contest, Omura said he hoped the Games would help Asia "reaffirm its bonds of friendship through sport". "Iran and Qatar are in a situation where missiles are flying back and forth but they can still play basketball together," he said. "Without the Asian Games you couldn't have a game like that."

Messi heads Inter Miami to Campeones Cup triumph

MIAMI, United States —Lionel Messi headed a goal and provided an assist as Inter Miami won the Campeones Cup on Wednesday, beating Cruz Azul 2-0 in the annual clash between Major League Soccer and Mexican Liga MX champions. It was Inter Miami's first Campeones Cup triumph and came thanks to the Argentine superstar's 100th goal for the reigning MLS Cup winners. A late Messi corner was headed home by Casemiro to seal the win. Victory gave 39-year-old Messi his first trophy of the year, two months after the heartbreak of losing the 2026 World Cup final to Spain with Argentina. After the game, Casemiro paid tribute to his illustrious teammate Messi. "We have to enjoy this because we don't know how long we'll have it," the former Real Madrid midfielder said. "What he has done and continues to do for football is incredible... he remains the best. He proved it at the World Cup and continues to prove it in MLS." Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham said Messi deserved to win a record-extending ninth Ballon d'Or. "When you see him do things like this tonight, when you see him have the World Cup that he's had... there is no one at 39 that's doing that, and doing it at that level," said Beckham. "So he deserves to be considered for the Ballon d'Or. In my opinion, he should win it." Cruz Azul had the game's first big chance, Jose Paradela's shot saved at the near post by Miami goalkeeper Dayne St Clair. Miami's opener came in the 24th minute. Though the goalscorer was no surprise, it was a rare Messi header that broke the deadlock. Luis Suarez crossed from the byline, and the 5-foot-7 Messi outjumped Willer Ditta with a diving header to give Miami the lead. Suarez nearly turned provider again in the 32nd minute. He received a sumptuous cross-field ball from Messi and scooped it up for German Berterame, whose dinked effort was cleared off the line. Early in the second half Messi appeared to have scored his 101st Miami goal, racing through one-on-one from a Suarez through ball and placing his shot in off the post, but was ruled offside. Cruz Azul should have equalized in the 67th minute, but substitute Gabriel Fernandez's glancing header hit the post, and Casemiro blocked the follow-up shot. A Messi corner gave Miami the two-goal cushion, finding Casemiro, who nodded the ball low to the far post in the 81st minute. St Clair denied Cruz Azul a late consolation, saving well from a Paradela free kick. New coach  The trophy came in new Inter Miami head coach Cristian "Kily" Gonzalez's first game in charge. Argentine manager Gonzalez was appointed last month, but due to visa delays only took his first training sessions this week. The annual Campeones Cup pits the previous year's MLS Cup winner against the winner of Mexico's Campeon de Campeones. It was the eighth edition of the cup, which is always hosted by the MLS participant. Mexican teams had won the three most recent editions before Miami's victory on Wednesday. Mexican giants Cruz Azul have still never won the Campeones Cup. They lost the 2021 final.

Barca hit Racing for seven as Atletico crush Osasuna

BARCELONA — Raphinha scored a hat-trick as La Liga leaders Barcelona ripped Racing Santander to shreds in a spectacular 7-2 triumph on Wednesday. Atletico Madrid thrashed Osasuna 4-0 to build form and confidence ahead of Sunday's derby clash against Real Madrid. Levante's match against Athletic Bilbao was postponed shortly before it was due to kick off because of heavy rain and a waterlogged pitch in Valencia. On Tuesday Real Madrid had pulled level with Barcelona after a 3-2 win at Elche, but the Catalans reestablished their three-point advantage with an avalanche of goals against Racing, 10th. As well as Raphinha's treble, Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal also scored for the unstoppable Catalan giants, who have netted 33 goals in seven games across all competitions. "For me the most important thing is that we are always focused, with every pass. It's like conversation, a good conversation," Barca coach Hansi Flick told DAZN. Despite their superb start, Raphinha said he still wanted more from himself and his team-mates. "It's always important to think you need to improve in some way," Raphinha told DAZN. "So I'll never tell you I'm at my best level, because... I always try to improve as much as I can, and give more to the team than I am given." With lightning flashing above Camp Nou Barca took the lead with a thunderbolt from Cancelo, before Raphinha won and converted a penalty for Barca's second. Racing Santander pulled one back when Maguette Gueye barged his way through and produced a neat finish to beat Barca goalkeeper Joan Garcia. However it proved only brief respite for the visitors, with Cancelo provoking the third with another long-range effort which deflected in off Asier Villalibre. Raphinha, thriving playing as Barca's center-forward, bagged Barca's fourth after he was played in on goal by Dani Olmo. Teenage star Yamal should have added a fifth after the electric Karim Adeyemi was brought down in the box, but Julen Agirrezabala saved his penalty. Barca reserve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny replaced Garcia at half-time after the Spain international appeared to hurt himself while slipping on the wet pitch as he went to get the ball. Flick said the goalkeeper had "some problems" with his knee but hoped he would be ready to play at the weekend. Yamal hit the post and later had a goal ruled out for offside as the rain lashed down in the second half. Yassir Zabiri pulled another back for Racing after a dreadful error from Szczesny, who tried and failed to dribble the ball, losing it right in front of his goal. Barcelona's fifth arrived almost immediately with another penalty after Adeyemi was brought down. Raphinha completed his hat-trick from the spot for his ninth league goal, extending his lead as the league's top goalscorer. He was replaced by his compatriot Gabriel Jesus, who added the sixth with a sharp finish into the top corner after being played in by Yamal, who netted the seventh after Adeyemi set him up.
