With a broad educational background, Dr. Gutman graduated from Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Buffalo University and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1978. He completed a surgical internship at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. 

His urological training and degree were obtained at New York University Medical Center. This included training at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in urologic oncology and advanced training in sexual dysfunction.

With years of experience, Dr. Gutman is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the New York County Medical Society.

Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. MANILA, Philippines — Five-peat-seeking National University swept Arellano University, 25-12, 25-16, 25-14, for a third straight win in the 2026 Shakey’s Super League (SSL) Unity Cup on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.  The Lady Bulldogs survived a tough challenge early in the second set before cruising the rest of the way to remain unbeaten in Pool A of the league’s centerpiece competition, backed by Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Potato Corner and R&B Milk Tea. Chams Maaya finished with 10 points on six spikes, two aces and two kill blocks to lead NU, which has yet to drop a set. “Nagpo-focus kami sa sarili namin kung paano pa namin mai-improve ang skills namin kasi every game, every set, every point ay kailangang mag-improve kami,” Maaya said. Smelling blood, NU dictated the tempo of the third set and built an insurmountable 20-9 advantage on its way to closing an 85-minute victory.
