He supervises the medical operations of the treatment center and is medically responsible for oversight of all patients enrolled in the treatment program. He provides direction for the medical team and coordinates with the clinical counseling team. Dr. Asuri evaluates individuals applying for admission as well as the physical and mental stability for outpatient substance abuse treatment while adhering to federal and state regulations and practicing within the scope of licensure.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2011, Dr. Asuri went on to complete his medical degree at Manipal University American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2016. He then completed an internal medicine residency (2016-2019), and addiction medicine fellowship (2019-2020) at Trinity Health Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is currently completing a Master of Public Health degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, with an expected graduation date in 2023.

Addiction medicine is a medical subspecialty that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and recovery of persons with addiction, of those with substance-related and addictive disorders, and of people who show unhealthy use of substances including alcohol, nicotine, prescription medicine, and other illicit drugs.

Dr. Asuri has received numerous awards during his residency and fellowship. He has also received awards at the national level through the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Doctors for America. 

Dr. Asuri's professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Academy of Physician Leadership (ACPE), American College of Preventive Medicine, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
