The movers were great and I would recommend H2H to anyone who has a move in their future. 3 stops, elevators and 4 flights of stairs later and nothing was damaged or broken everything arrived in fantastic condition on a hot humid day. I can say 5 stars is not enough of a rating for this company and crew!! Thanks again.” – said Lori.

H2H Movers is a company that excels in each aspect of moving and is capable of satisfying all relocation needs.

While most people rarely move long distance, if there ever a need to do it, people will see it doesn’t come cheap. It isn’t coincidental that people look for different ways to lower the cost of their move, particularly if it is long distance. Well, H2H Movers are here to say it – it is possible to lower moving costs, although some may find some sacrifices hard to live with. Learn what H2H Movers can do to reduce the costs of moving long distance.

Renting a truck is one of the options some people consider – to rent a truck for themselves, load it up and move. While it may seem fine at first, most fail to take into account all the different costs that they can accumulate with a truck. Before going for that option think about this – it is a big vehicle, heavy and not as easy to drive as some people may have heard. Many people don’t think the risk is worth it after they research the topic a little bit.

There is also the Brute-Force method. What would that be? Well, a person doesn’t have to be a strategist to know that the less there is to move, the cheaper the move will be. So when a decision is made on how to get the long distance fees down, a person may simply opt for selling their unnecessary items online or giving them away.

And let’s be honest. Many people have trash inside of their homes, which they don’t use and don’t have a need for. Instead of carrying it with them to their new place, they can simply throw it away or give it to a charity, which can put it to good use, if it is of any use to begin with.

Don’t forget – decluttering is key. Don’t pack items that will only pile the costs up and will still sit in boxes in the new place. If a person is somewhat attached to a particular thing and don’t want to throw it out, then don’t – find a good purpose for it, even if they are not the one using it.

Same applies to moving plants. Long distance won’t treat plants well and if a person doesn’t take proper care of them, they will die. Many times it simply isn’t worth the hassle. Give them to a neighbor or a friend that wants them.

Formula 1 announces return to Africa with Grand Prix in Rwanda in early 2030s

KIGALI, Rwanda — Formula 1 will return to Africa with a grand prix in Rwanda starting early next decade once a new track has been built southeast of the capital, F1 and the country’s president said Tuesday. The announcement of a 10-year-deal to hold an African Grand Prix in Rwanda comes after a campaign by President Paul Kagame to bring F1 to the continent for the first time since 1993. “This partnership is long overdue,” Kagame said at a launch event in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. “But it is a success and a milestone for the entire continent, especially for the African fans. Ultimately, what we want is for the African Grand Prix to pave the way for other races to be hosted on the continent.” Racing in Africa will fulfil a long-held ambition for seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, the only Black driver in F1. The 41-year-old British driver has said he has been “fighting in the background” for years to have a race in Africa. Exactly when the first race will be held in Rwanda remains unclear. F1 said a purpose-built circuit was expected to be completed “early in the next decade” in Bugesera, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Kigali. The track will be built near an under-construction airport serving the capital and will “work in harmony with the natural landscape,” using hills and dips in the landscape to challenge drivers, F1 said. “Today is a landmark moment for Formula 1," F1 President and chief executive Stefano Domenicali said. “With Rwanda joining the calendar from the next decade our sport will race in every inhabited continent, bringing the world championship closer than ever to fans around the globe.” The last time F1 raced in Africa was the South African Grand Prix in 1993. Rwanda aims for challenging circuit and economic gains Rwanda becomes the first confirmed new host nation for F1 since Qatar and Saudi Arabia joined the schedule in 2021. With a GDP per capita of just over $1,100, Rwanda will stand out on a race calendar that features glitzy destinations like Las Vegas, Miami, Monaco and Abu Dhabi. Kagame said the country aims to use the race to develop sports infrastructure and tourism and to diversify revenue. Under Kagame, Rwanda has sponsored major European soccer teams and developed a basketball partnership with the NBA, as well as hosting the world cycling championships. It’s all aimed at promoting a positive image of a country still often known internationally because of the 1994 genocide. Hosting F1 would take that strategy to a new level. “Look, our country will be watched on the global stage. And this comes with investments and creations of jobs, especially for the youth,” Betty Mukamurenzi, a university IT student in Kigali, told The Associated Press. Businessman James Ruzindana said that “for businesses, it is a challenge for us to up our game in terms of having the right products that can be consumed by those who are visiting.” The F1 spotlight could also bring renewed scrutiny of Rwanda's human rights record and accusations of “sportswashing.” Human rights groups have accused Kagame of repressive methods keep his grip on power. The U.N. has accused Rwanda of backing rebels in neighboring Congo, and Congolese officials have condemned its soccer sponsorships. Rwanda set to outpace South Africa There have been rival projects to bring F1 back to Africa, with plans in recent years regarding three different potential venues in South Africa and one in Morocco. South Africa Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie issued a statement last week congratulating Rwanda, even before the decision was official, but still insisted his country “will get F1,” too. “We are happy for Rwanda’s 2030 F1. They have worked on it longer than SA and deserve it,” McKenzie wrote on X. “Remember though that one country, Italy, has had two F1s a year, and some react like a continent of 55 countries can only get one. SA will get F1, even before 2030.” There was no mention of South Africa in F1’s statement on Tuesday. F1 racing in Africa was linked to apartheid Many of F1’s previous races in Africa were overshadowed by the policy of apartheid in South Africa. F1 and its teams faced increasing criticism through the 1970s and 1980s, culminating in some teams boycotting the 1985 race in South Africa, which was facing various international sanctions and boycott campaigns at the time. As South Africa began to dismantle the system of racial segregation and oppression, F1 returned for two more races at the Kyalami circuit in 1992 and 1993, the last of those less than a year before the country’s first democratic elections where millions of Black South Africans were able to vote. F1 also held a Moroccan Grand Prix in 1958, the only time Morocco was part of the world championship. A project was announced last year to build a track to bring F1 back to the North African nation but there have been few updates since.

Eala slump continues with Wuhan exit

IT may be the case of fatigue kicking in, the law of averages catching up, a slump getting in the way, or a combination of the three. Whatever the reason, Filipino tennis ace Alexandra “Alex” Eala found herself on the wrong end of an upset loss for the third straight time. World No. 19 Eala fell to Chinese qualifier and No. 217 Shi Han, 6-4, 3-6, 3-6, to make a first-round exit at the WTA 1000 Wuhan Open in China Monday night, Oct. 12. Eala held off Shi in the first set and even took a 3-2 lead in the second. Shi went on a rampage from there, winning seven straight games to take control for the rest of the way and handing Eala her worst loss of the season. The defeat is the latest in Eala’s shock losses to lower-ranked players. Eala first fell to world No. 180 Tatiana Prozorova at the Singapore Open round of 16, 6-4, 5-7, 3-6, on Sept. 24. A week later at the 20th Asian Games in Japan, where she’s favored to win the gold medal, Eala settled for bronze after yielding to world No. 85 Wang Xiyu in the semifinals, 6-3, 3-6, 2-6, on Oct. 1. The string of upset losses is an uncharted territory for Eala, who used to be the one pulling off stunning wins against higher-ranked players. Eala even holds a 9-5 win-loss card against top 10 players. The last three weeks showed Eala as a shadow of her old self — far from the player who made a stunning semifinal finish at the Miami Open last year, a historic Wimbledon fourth-round campaign last July, and a conquest of the DC Open last August for her first Tour title. Shi was easily playing the best tennis of her career on Monday night, and it didn’t help Eala that she gave up 37 unforced errors including six double faults. Eala thus also denied herself from unleashing those winners, which she had 20 against Shi’s 30. At press time on Tuesday afternoon, Eala was looking to extend her Wuhan campaign in the doubles side with Zeynep Sönmez. The Filipino-Turkish duo was set to face the Ukrainian tandem of Dayana Yastremska and Anhelina Kalinina in the first round.

FEU seeks fifth straight win vs UST

FAR Eastern University (FEU) seeks its fifth straight win against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in the UAAP Season 89 men’s basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday. Aiming to further tighten their grip on the top spot, the Tamaraws face the Growling Tigers at 3 p.m. as they begin the men’s double-header. The Adamson Soaring Falcons and the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons battle at 5:30 p.m. to cap the day. With Mo Konateh leading the way with 29 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, FEU blasted Ateneo, 93-70, last Saturday. Despite winning four in a row including against last year’s runner-up UP and champ De La Salle, coach Sean Chambers said that FEU isn’t a contender this year, yet. “No [we’re not giants ourselves], not at all,” said Chambers, whose team hasn’t lost since its season-opening defeat to Adamson. The former PBA Best Import insisted that the Tamaraws are all about building winning habits. “This is the UAAP, this is college basketball. Once you win, the pressure mounts even more. People wanna see you collapse so we’re gonna take care of our business,” said Chambers. “We’re not talking about wins and losses even with the management — we’re talking about habits, winning habits win games.” Meanwhile, UST aims to return to the winning column after suffering its second straight loss at the hands of National University last Saturday. The Growling Tigers battled back from 15 points down against the Bulldogs but fell in overtime, 85-87, following Reinhard Jumamoy’s game-winning trey. With a 2-3 slate, UST is currently second to the last in the eight-team league, just ahead of the 0-6 University of the East.
