Boca Raton, Florida -

September 13, 2022 - /PressAdvantage/ - Find Addiction Rehabs (FAR), a company based in Boca Raton, FL that offers helpful resources on addiction treatment and rehab, has announced that they have made several updates regarding their resources on drug and alcohol rehab in the Lone Star State. They have updated an article about Texas drug rehab centers and another article about alcohol rehab in Texas. And finally, they present an updated article on addiction treatment centers in the city of Austin.

Drug and alcohol addiction is a pervasive problem in the country and the state of Texas is no exception, which is why the state has several health services that are focused on providing priority access to substance abuse treatment services. As of 2018, the leading drug addictions being treated in Texas were people addicted to meth, heroin, and cocaine. The article advises people interested in an addiction treatment center to not just consider the available choices in the state but also out of state. However, for those who prefer to remain in Texas there are a number of rehab facilities that offer specialized treatment programs that may fit the individual’s specific requirements.

There are various Texas drug rehab centers that provide medical detox as a key part of their addiction recovery programs. One example is Resurgence Texas in Wimberley, which is a certified quality rehab treatment provider and can be found just outside Austin. It provides 24/7 clinical supervision with the best amenities for all of its clients. There are also a number of inpatient and outpatient treatment programs in Texas, plus several aftercare programs.

Meanwhile, harmful alcohol use is a prevalent public health issue in Texas, which is why there are a number of alcohol rehab centers in Texas. These facilities provide a range of alternatives for treatment programs that can help an individual fight alcoholism. Although alcohol use disorder (AUD) is a chronic illness, these treatment programs can help clients achieve complete recovery from AUD. There are a number of signs of AUD to be on the lookout for, such as: difficulty in controlling one’s drinking; increased alcohol tolerance; drinking several times a day; feeling nauseated and tired when sober; getting defensive when someone mentions one’s drinking habit; and poor decision when drunk that even puts one’s life at risk. Treatment options include alcohol detox and counseling and therapy.

Meanwhile, Austin being the capital of Texas is currently suffering from a rise in substance abuse. This has caused an increase in demand for addiction treatment centers in the city. With Austin attracting a lot of migrants because it is “the live music capital of the world” and there has been an increase in the number of technology companies, there is an emerging need for behavioral health services in this city. Many people in Austin are finding themselves struggling with an addiction. Aside from the combination of mental health and substance abuse problems due to meth use, heroin abuse has also been on the rise. There is also the opioid crisis affecting the country and this has affected Austin too. The federal government has adopted harm-reduction measures to fight drug overdose but this is a controversial approach. Packs of syringes, fentanyl test kits, glass pipes, alcohol pads, and Narcan are being distributed but in Texas, state law still prohibits possession of such paraphernalia. Fortunately, Austin has many AA and NA support groups and several drug rehab facilities to choose from.

Find Addiction Rehabs was established to provide information resources that can guide people who would like to know more about rehab treatment facilities for addiction either for themselves or their loved ones. The information that they offer on their website is in the form of guest blogs and expert articles, which indicates that the FAR website is not the conventional directory listing or directory website that just presents a list of drug or alcohol rehab facilities. Instead, the website strives to provide as much information as possible about addiction problems and the behaviors of people suffering from an addiction, and the most up-to-date methods of treatment for those affected with an addiction to finally take the first step in their recovery journey.

Those who are interested in getting more info about addiction treatment, such as resources on Austin alcohol and drug rehab centers, can check out the Find Addiction Rehabs website or call them on the phone.

Yolanda Hopkins upsets World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to reach WSL Championship Tour Philippines Pro quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines —  World No. 14 Yolanda Hopkins pulled off a major reversal, knocking out World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to advance to the quarterfinals of the inaugural World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour Philippines Pro at the iconic Cloud 9 reef break in Siargao on Saturday. Hopkins came through in Heat 2 of the women's competition, posting a combined score of 10.10 from waves worth 5.27 and 4.83 to eliminate the highly-ranked American and arrange a quarterfinal showdown with World No. 6 Caitlin Simmers in the event presented by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), with the support of Surigao del Norte Gov. Robert Lyndon Barbers, General Luna Mayor Johnson Sajulga and Vice Mayor Romina Sajulga. Bryan, finished ninth with a total of 7.00, combining scores of 4.00 and 3.00 to collect 2,000 championship points. The competition unfolded under four- to six-foot waves, giving the world's best surfers challenging conditions to display their skills, while calm winds helped maintain a steady lineup. Also making her way into the quarterfinals was Simmers, who dominated fellow American and World No. 11 Caroline Marks in their opening-round encounter. Simmers posted an impressive 15.17 on a 9.00 and a 6.17. Marks could only managed 9.00 from waves scoring 5.50 and 3.50 and likewise settled for ninth place with 2,000 championship points. Beyond her impressive performance, Simmers expressed her admiration for Cloud 9, describing the famed Siargao break as one of her favorite surfing destinations because of the technical challenges and opportunities it offers.  “Honestly, I keep telling people it's one of my favorite waves on the planet because it's just really tight, and you kind of have to do some exciting things in the spaces you get. It's pretty hard to just do your stock-standard couple of turns on it,” said Simmers. The American explained that Cloud 9 demands creativity and precise timing, as its changing sections can force surfers to adjust their approach while looking for opportunities to execute difficult maneuvers. She also singled out the wave's end section as a promising spot for aerial moves, expressing hope that the world's top female surfers would take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills. “I think I'm just hoping all the girls do airs because these are the best surfers in the world, best women in the world. And I know every single one of them can do an air on that end section. It's just a matter of timing, really,” she said. Simmers believes the challenging but rewarding nature of Cloud 9 could produce spectacular performances as the competition progresses, particularly with the world's best women surfers battling for a place in the next round. The event is also supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and NEA/SIARELCO. Delos Santos sets new junior world records in Ningbo

MANILA, Philippines — Albert Ian Delos Santos finished out of the podium in the 2026 IWF World Weightlifting Championships, but delivered a promising performance by shattering two junior world records in the men’s 70-kilogram (kg) division in Ningbo, China. The 20-year-old Asian Junior champion came off a bronze finish in the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, and was not over in setting new records as he eclipsed his previous world junior record He lifted a total of 331kg, built on 144kg in the snatch and 187kg in the clean and jerk. to surpass his previous total lift of 324kg that he made in the Asian Games. He also eclipsed his own record in the clean and jerk of 183kg. To put the 331 kg total into perspective, it is almost equivalent to the weight of a standard grand piano, an average commercial soda vending machine, or about 11 golden retrievers. First Filipina Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz formerly lauded Delos Santos and knew that he was meant to reach greater heights “Ian is one of our future Olympian gold medalist in the Philippines, as you can see he’s a junior world record holder, then he won here at 20 years old, competing in Asian Games, and it’s his first time,” Diaz told the media during Delos Santos bronze finish in Asiad.   “He is one of a kind, and I can’t describe how brave he is,” she added. North Korea took the top two spots, with Pak Pyol winning gold with a world-record total of 355 kilograms, while Ri Won Ju took silver with 343 kg, and China’s He Baozhen rounded out the podium with bronze, lifting 339 kg. Although he fell short of a medal, Delos Santos delivered one of the competition’s standout performances, improving his own junior records against some of the world’s top lifters. Delos Santos is expected to move up to the 75-kilogram category for the IWF qualifying competition in Qatar in December as he continues his international campaign.
