Sep 15, 2023

LO:LA, a full-service marketing agency based in El Segundo, CA, released a guide teaching businesses how to use their brand to gain an edge over competitors.

El Segundo, United States - September 15, 2023 /PressCable/ —

In its new guide, LO:LA highlights the four key elements that brands need to have if they want to build a loyal customer base, increase profits, and establish a solid reputation. The company argues that having a strong brand is as important as other factors like pricing, product quality, and innovation.

According to the LO:LA, the first element that brands need to have to be successful is a clearly defined brand strategy outlining their purpose, values, and messaging. Creating this brand strategy requires a lot of work, specifically consumer and market research, but by taking this step brands get a better understanding of their audience and they can tailor products, services, and advertising to their interests and needs.

To implement and execute the ideas in the brand strategy, brands need to have creative and nimble teams capable of adapting to change and coming up with innovative solutions to problems. Ideally, these team members should be advocates of the brand, who believe in its products or services and are committed to spreading its messaging across all available channels.

In addition to having great teams, LO:LA notes that winning brands are usually transparent about their business practices too. This usually involves letting employees and customers in on things like sourcing and manufacturing as a way of gaining their trust and getting them committed to the brand.

Lastly, LO:LA points out that most successful brands partner with reputable branding agencies committed to helping them achieve their goals. By doing this, brands not only ally themselves with an invested and knowledgeable partner, but they also gain an outside perspective that they can use to orient themselves when things go awry.

“Your brand is the last unfair advantage that your business has, therefore it’s critical that you invest in your brand strategy, team, customers, and partnerships,” said a spokesperson for the company. “By doing so, you can differentiate yourself from the competition, build customer loyalty, and drive business success.”

PBA adjusts schedule anew to support Gilas' 2027 FIBA World Cup bid

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) continues to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to the national cause, adjusting its calendar to support Gilas Pilipinas in their quest to secure a berth in the 2027 FIBA World Cup in Doha, Qatar. Currently in the final leg of a two-month conference break, the pro league suspended action to allow national team players to compete in two major international tournaments: the fourth window of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers and the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The Season 50 Governors' Cup is set to resume on Wednesday, October 7, to complete the elimination round and quarterfinal phase. However, the PBA will take another scheduled hiatus shortly after to give Gilas ample time to prepare for the fifth window of the Asian Qualifiers in late November, where the Philippines will face Syria and Iran in Seremban, Malaysia. These calendar sacrifices come on the heels of momentum-building home victories against Jordan and Iran during the August window at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Playing without injured naturalized star Justin Brownlee, Gilas leaned heavily on the return of 7-foot-3 center Kai Sotto, who anchored the team with solid averages of 15.5 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. The Philippines currently holds a 4-4 record in Group E, trailing leaders Australia (8-0), New Zealand (6-2), as well as Iran and Jordan (both 5-3). With only the top three teams per group and the best fourth-placed team qualifying for the World Cup, every remaining window is critical. To accommodate these international commitments while keeping its three-conference format intact, the league is looking at tighter timelines for next season.  PBA Commissioner Willy Marcial revealed that Season 51 is targeted to open in February 2026, following the Rookie Draft on January 17, but side events like out-of-town games and the annual All-Star Weekend may be sidelined to fit the calendar before December 2027.  All proposed schedule adjustments remain subject to final approval by the PBA Board of Governors.
