Clear Coat-Safe Detail Spray for Protecting Paint: Car Upkeep Guide Released

Oct 15, 2026

Willer Time publishes a new guide on protecting car paint with clear coat-safe detail spray, sharing warnings about micro-abrasion and harsh solvents while recommending ingredient-transparent formulas for lasting gloss.

Colorado Springs, United States, October 15, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Willer Time has released a guide addressing a crucial issue for detailing enthusiasts: how to protect car paint from clear coat damage. The document points to ingredient transparency, smart YMM fit, and fair pricing as qualities to look for - positioning such a combination as a practical response to paint damage caused by poorly matched or poorly formulated products.

According to Willer Time’s guide, modern automotive paint systems depend on a thin layer of clear coat for gloss, UV resistance, and environmental protection. Once that layer is compromised, repair becomes costly and, in some cases, impossible - which is why enthusiasts are understandably hesitant to engage in trial and error when choosing what touches their paint.

And yet, much of the damage to clear coat doesn't arrive suddenly. Willer Time notes that friction from low-quality towels or poorly formulated products causes marring - a form of micro-abrasion that leaves behind tiny scratches, often called swirl marks. These marks scatter light and dull reflections, and drivers sometimes mistake them for natural paint aging rather than a product-driven problem.

Worse still, the guide suggests that some products create an illusion of protection instead of delivering it. Oils or fillers are linked with an immediate, temporary shine that only masks swirls and fine scratches before washing away after a few cleanings. Harsh solvents are mentioned too, said to strip away protective waxes and sealants and, with repeated exposure, contribute to dullness or peeling in the clear coat itself.

For those seeking solutions, the document urges readers to look into detail sprays built specifically for clear coat safety. Polymer-based sprays, SiO2 hybrid sprays, and ceramic coatings are described as representing different levels of paint protection, each with its own durability and application method. What’s more, many are formulated to lift light surface debris while improving slickness and gloss between regular washes.

A pH-balanced formula matters as well, adds the guide - since these car wash shampoos help preserve existing wax, sealants, or coatings, and their gentler chemistry can reduce the risk of swirl marks, fading, and etching.

Such formulation principles reflect Willer Time's broader stance on detailing: enthusiasts are pointed towards products with clearly disclosed ingredients, fitted to their vehicle's specific year, make, and model, and priced without inflated markups. The result, says the company, is a more effective detailing process that helps a car’s coat instead of hindering it.

Yolanda Hopkins upsets World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to reach WSL Championship Tour Philippines Pro quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines —  World No. 14 Yolanda Hopkins pulled off a major reversal, knocking out World No. 3 Gabriela Bryan to advance to the quarterfinals of the inaugural World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour Philippines Pro at the iconic Cloud 9 reef break in Siargao on Saturday. Hopkins came through in Heat 2 of the women's competition, posting a combined score of 10.10 from waves worth 5.27 and 4.83 to eliminate the highly-ranked American and arrange a quarterfinal showdown with World No. 6 Caitlin Simmers in the event presented by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), with the support of Surigao del Norte Gov. Robert Lyndon Barbers, General Luna Mayor Johnson Sajulga and Vice Mayor Romina Sajulga. Bryan, finished ninth with a total of 7.00, combining scores of 4.00 and 3.00 to collect 2,000 championship points. The competition unfolded under four- to six-foot waves, giving the world's best surfers challenging conditions to display their skills, while calm winds helped maintain a steady lineup. Also making her way into the quarterfinals was Simmers, who dominated fellow American and World No. 11 Caroline Marks in their opening-round encounter. Simmers posted an impressive 15.17 on a 9.00 and a 6.17. Marks could only managed 9.00 from waves scoring 5.50 and 3.50 and likewise settled for ninth place with 2,000 championship points. Beyond her impressive performance, Simmers expressed her admiration for Cloud 9, describing the famed Siargao break as one of her favorite surfing destinations because of the technical challenges and opportunities it offers.  “Honestly, I keep telling people it's one of my favorite waves on the planet because it's just really tight, and you kind of have to do some exciting things in the spaces you get. It's pretty hard to just do your stock-standard couple of turns on it,” said Simmers. The American explained that Cloud 9 demands creativity and precise timing, as its changing sections can force surfers to adjust their approach while looking for opportunities to execute difficult maneuvers. She also singled out the wave's end section as a promising spot for aerial moves, expressing hope that the world's top female surfers would take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills. “I think I'm just hoping all the girls do airs because these are the best surfers in the world, best women in the world. And I know every single one of them can do an air on that end section. It's just a matter of timing, really,” she said. Simmers believes the challenging but rewarding nature of Cloud 9 could produce spectacular performances as the competition progresses, particularly with the world's best women surfers battling for a place in the next round. The event is also supported by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and NEA/SIARELCO. Delos Santos sets new junior world records in Ningbo

MANILA, Philippines — Albert Ian Delos Santos finished out of the podium in the 2026 IWF World Weightlifting Championships, but delivered a promising performance by shattering two junior world records in the men’s 70-kilogram (kg) division in Ningbo, China. The 20-year-old Asian Junior champion came off a bronze finish in the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, and was not over in setting new records as he eclipsed his previous world junior record He lifted a total of 331kg, built on 144kg in the snatch and 187kg in the clean and jerk. to surpass his previous total lift of 324kg that he made in the Asian Games. He also eclipsed his own record in the clean and jerk of 183kg. To put the 331 kg total into perspective, it is almost equivalent to the weight of a standard grand piano, an average commercial soda vending machine, or about 11 golden retrievers. First Filipina Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz formerly lauded Delos Santos and knew that he was meant to reach greater heights “Ian is one of our future Olympian gold medalist in the Philippines, as you can see he’s a junior world record holder, then he won here at 20 years old, competing in Asian Games, and it’s his first time,” Diaz told the media during Delos Santos bronze finish in Asiad.   “He is one of a kind, and I can’t describe how brave he is,” she added. North Korea took the top two spots, with Pak Pyol winning gold with a world-record total of 355 kilograms, while Ri Won Ju took silver with 343 kg, and China’s He Baozhen rounded out the podium with bronze, lifting 339 kg. Although he fell short of a medal, Delos Santos delivered one of the competition’s standout performances, improving his own junior records against some of the world’s top lifters. Delos Santos is expected to move up to the 75-kilogram category for the IWF qualifying competition in Qatar in December as he continues his international campaign.
